Wildscreen Outreach is a touring programme of award-winning film screenings and master classes to reach, engage and inspire new audiences. As well as local, regional and national initiatives, developing countries, where pressure on the environment is most critical, are a key priority.
Wildscreen India in January 2007 was attended by 16,000 people, with Wildscreen China delivered in five cities in December 07. With support from the British Council, new programmes were delivered in India and Sri Lanka in February 2009, with plans developing for further events in South America, Africa and Asia during 2009/2010.
In the UK, film screenings and discussions are held in schools, community centres, prisons and hospitals – and in particular target hard to reach excluded audiences.
